Belagavi: Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi said he would resign as minister if proved that Karnataka violated the law to divert the mahadayi river water.
Speaking to reporters in the city on Monday, he said there is no truth in the Karnataka government’s illegal diversion of water from river under the Mahadayi project on the Karnataka-Goa border. ‘I will resign from the post of minister if found violating law and asked the Goa CM and ministers to visit the project site before making any allegations’.
The chief minister of Goa and ministers are giving fake interest to mislead goa people. He challenged them to come and see if needed. He said the Goa CM and the minister were politicized on the issue of Mahadayi and their allegation was just political gimmick.
