Belagavi: The vaccination for the COVID19 is expected to available in January. The district health committee of Belagavi has started preparing a list of the corona warriors and the persons who are at high risk and need the vaccination on urgent basis.
As declared by the prime minister Narendra Modi, the covid19 vaccination will be given to the corona warriors first. Each person will get two vaccination in 20 days duration.
The District committee led by the Deputy Commissioner MG Hiremath has started working on it. The district health officer, corporation commissioner, corporation health officer, tahsildar’s of the respective taluka’s are the parts of the committee.
In the first phase, the vaccination will be given to the health workers, police and the staff members of the administration and then the people at the high-risk category such as over 60-year-old citizens, patients with the severe diseases. The health department has been instructed to make arrangements for sufficient space in the cold storages and other preparations for the vaccination task.
Corporation health officer Dr Sanjay Dummgol said ‘We have got instructions from the state government to be prepared for the distribution of vaccination. Preparations are started from the past one month. Once the vaccination available in January, we will start vaccination as per the government guidelines’.
