Belagavi: The mutated Coronavirus which created havoc in Britain has created a threat in Belagavi too. A native of Belagavi, 32-year old women returned to home town last week.
32-year-old women have returned to Jamkhandi her husband’s house on December 14 from Bengaluru after arrival there from London and then she came to her home at Khade Bazar area in Belagavi from Jamkhandi on Monday. She has been undergone COVID19 test and is under home quarantine.
District health officer Dr Shashikant Munyal said ‘We received information about the woman from State war room today. Our team from the health department has reached her and collected the sample for COVID19 testing. Presently she has been kept in home isolation. The other family members who are in primary contact with the women have been kept in-home quarantine’ he said.
The COVID19 report of the woman is expected to come by Wednesday. With this, the fear of the second wave of COVID19 is reached to Belagavi also.
