Belagavi: KMF Chairman Balachandra Jarkiholi working under cooperative principle has brought the cooperative organisation in profits. It is his dream to construct a ‘Mega diary’ in hundred acre land in Belagavi. This will not only create jobs but also improvise the dairy business. Soon the work of constructing a Mega dairy will be started, said cooperative minister Somashekhar.
In his presidential remarks, KMF Chairman Balachandra Jarkiholi said ‘AMUL and KMF are strong in India and will see more development in coming days. Collection of 89 Lakh litre milk everyday is evidence for the faith of farmers on KMF. The 12 Lakh cattle will be provided insurance cover in the state, said Jarkiholi. He further added that KMF which is having 15,000 crore annual turnover is targeted to increase the turnover to 25,000 crore in next four years. The mega dairy is possible in Belagavi if 4 to 5 Lakh litre milk is collected every day he said during the 67th ‘Sahakara Saptaha’ organized by KMF in Belagavi on Wednesday.
