ENS@Belagavi: The third JMFC and POCSO court conducted the trial of gang rape by five people on minor girl case and has announced its verdict on Friday by imposing Rs 5 lakh fine on each convict and life imprisonment to all.
The conviction proved against Sanju Siddappa Daddi(24), Suresh Bharamappa Daddi(24), Sunil Lagamappa dummagol (21) all resident of Muttyanatti village and Somashekhar Duradundeshwar(23) of Shahapur and Mahesh Balappa Shivangol(23) of Managutti.
A boy along alongwith the her minor girl friend had gone for outing on the hills near Muttyanatti village in the outskirts of Belgavi. This gang of five youths had forced that boy to rape the minor and then beaten up both and then raped the minor girl all the five and had also made video shooting of this heinous act. They later threatened them of killing of informed to anyone.
The victim girl later had approached the Kakati police station alongwith her parents and lodged complaint. The investigating officer Ramesh Gokak had registered a case IPC 376(D), 395, 341, 354, 385, 504, 506, 4,6, 14 POCSO act and IT act section 67 and had filed charge sheet in the POCSO court.
Justice Manjappa Annayyanavar conducted the trial had identified 186 documents, 46 evidences and announced punishment to the all five convicts. Public prosecutor LV Patil worked in favor of the victim.
