Belgaum district Incharge and the minister in the B.S Yadiyurappa government, Ramesh Jarkiholi who is holding the ministry of Water Resources said “The government will try to dismantle the drug network“.
While conducting a meeting with police officials in Belagavi, Ramesh Jarkiholi put forward that the intention of the central and the state government is to destroy the drug nexus. He added that the drugs do not only destroy the lives of youth but also puts the future of a country in the dark and he also called on the Bharatiya Janata Party activist to spread the awareness about the harms of drugs in the youth to avoid any contact with it.
As of now three drug peddlers have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau ( N.C.B ), the Bengaluru crime branch also arrested film actress Ragini Dwivedi in connection with the drug nexus in the Kannada film industry and the CCB also carried out searches at Ragini Dwivedi’s residence.
According to the information provided by Ragini during the hearing, a further notice could be issued. And the door of the son of a Bangalore corporator has been also rung by Narcotics Control Bureau to issue a notice. The Karnataka government is working in close coordination with the central government to seriously look into such drug nexus and take all the required measures to stop such activity and put the people involved in it behind the bars.
