Belagavi: Belagavi court has given its verdict by imposing life imprisonment punishment and Rs 30,000 fine to a ‘father’ who killed his soldier by firing bullets by revolver. Justice Basavaraj has given his verdict to convict Vitthal Indi. Public prosecutor VD Darbare worked in favor of Government.
Iranna Indi, resident of Naya Nagar, Bailhongal taluk was serving in the Indian army. When he was returned to home for holiday’s, there was verbal clash took place between him and his father Vittal over financial issue on December12, 2016. Vitthal who lost control had fired a bullets by his revolver and killed his son Iranna. He had even fired bullets on his daughter Pooja who went stop the quarrel.
The severely injured Pooja was admitted to the hospital and recovered later. A case was registered in Bailhongal police station and investigation was on. Vitthal, resident of Hingani village of Indi taluk, Vijayapura district had made two marriages. First wife Malakawwaa reside in Hingani village while second wife Anusuya, reside in Naya Nagar, Bailhongal.
Vitthal was serving in the Post office after retiring from army. He was in contact with Anusuya while working at Bailhongal. There friendship was turned into love and he made second marriage. Among the, three children of him, the elder son was joined Indian army. He is also having son from first wife.
