Belagavi: The one family supported by Water resource minister Ramesh Jarkiholi and another family supported by KPCC working president Satish Jarkiholi were allegedly attacked each other using sharp weapons at Ankalagi village of Gokak taluk on Thursday. Three persons severely injured in this attack.
The attack and counter-attack took place between Raju Talwar said to be supporter Ramesh Jarkiholi and Chikkugol family supporter of Satish Jarkiholi of the same village. Sanju Chikkugol, Akash Chikkugol, Akshay Chikkugol were severely injured in the alleged attack by the Raju Talwar who used sickle and sword to attack and create terror in the village. The injured have been shifted to the private hospital in Belagavi for a treatment.
The alerted police personnel from Ankalagi police station raided the house of Raju Talwar and seized the sharp-edged weapons stored in his house. Over 20 sickle and other sharp-edged weapons were found. Also, Rs 83 Lakh cash is found in his home during the raid. A seperate case is also registered against the accused of keeping a huge cash amount which has no document. It is said that the accuser Raju Talware is a staunch follower of water resource minister Ramesh Jarkiholi. Police personnel have registered a case and started an investigation. A total of 12 accused have been arrested in connection to this case.
*Two congress party workers attacked at Yamakanmardi*
Similarly, two Congressmen were injured in the firing by unknown person at Yamkanmardi village of Hukkeri taluk on Wednesday night. both are out of danger are taking treatment. Yamkanmardi police have registered a case and investigating to trace the attacker.
KPCC working president Satish Jarkiholi urged the police to take strict action against those who creating violence and terror during elections.
