Belagavi students Energy project shortlisted in top hundred projects of India

Belagavi: An innovative project on energy developed by the team GIT comprising of Omkar Gurav and Bipin Mohite of Mechanical Engineering Department, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi under the guidance of Dr Shrinivas L. Gombi, Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department has been short-listed in top 100 project teams pan India after rigorous rounds of the selection process in the KPIT Sparkle 2020 competition.
The project is based on the generation of electricity in cars by utilizing the rotational energy of the wheels with appropriate modifications in the braking system.

KPIT Technologies Ltd had invited students across India to develop next-generation technologies in Energy & Mobility for the Future in their KPIT Sparkle 2020 competition event with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, as its knowledge partner.

It had received more than 22000+ registrations from more than 1121 engineering and science colleges including 28 premier institutes like IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) and NIT (National Institutes of Technology) in the pre-qualification stage. Based on the novelty, affordability and commercial viability evaluators shortlisted 100 top teams out of 1900 teams and KLSGIT was one amongst them.
